Margaret Crozier asked for a definition of 'quiet' in her e-mail announcement for this post. I think in this context it means: you're able to do what you set out to do without any urgent interruptions that take you away from it. 'Quiet' doesn't mean idle; 'quiet' means able to peacefully complete something you planned to do.
